Of course it is normal for people to expect the results instantly. Results after the laser treatment start to appear in 2 weeks when the scabbing or crusting comes away. The treated areas continue to improve gradually for 3-6 months when the final results are generally seen.
The Carbon Dioxide laser can reduce and even completely remove the finer lines and creases around the eyes and mouth. Deeper cheek and forehead lines may also be softened but the treatment is generally less reliable for these areas. Laser resurfacing of sun-damaged skin will give you smoother, fresher, rejuvenated skin too.
With regards to scar treatment, this laser can be useful in improving or softening the appearance of some acne and surgical scars.
It is important to remember that results can never be guaranteed prior to treatment. Nor can the number of treatments required be predicted accurately. This is due to the fact that every person will react differently to the therapy and expectations of optimal results may vary from one person to the other.
